Alexandre Wagner Brazilian, b. 1986
Alexandre Wagner studied visual arts at UFMG, with a degree in painting, in 2011. He participated in several group exhibitions, highlighting Oito Artistas at Galeria Mendes Wood DM, curated by Lucas Arruda and Bruno Dunley, and Um lugar lugar nenhum: Paisagens contemporâneas, curated by Rodrigo Andrade at Galeria Marilia Razuk (2021). Among his most important solo shows Fagulhas, at Gate, NY (2022), Água -Viva, with critical text by Kiki Mazzuchelli at Galeria Marilia Razuk, São Paulo (2021), Sol da Noite at Galeria Bolsa de Arte, Porto Alegre among others.
His works are part of important private and institutional collections, such as Pinacoteca do Estado de S. Paulo, IFF – Instituto Figueiredo Ferraz, and MAR – Museu de Arte do Rio de Janeiro.
